" ब्रह्म पुराण " सम्पूर्ण 'ब्रह्म पुराण' में २४६ अध्याय हैं। इसकी श्लोक संख्या लगभग १०,००० है। इस पुराण की कथा लोमहर्षण सूत जी एवं शौनक ऋषियों के संवाद के माध्यम से वर्णित है। यही कथा प्राचीन काल में ब्रह्मा ने दक्ष प्रजापत्ति को सुनायी थी। 'ब्रह्म पुराण' गणना की दृष्टि से सर्वप्रथम गिना जाता है। परन्तु इसका तात्पर्य यह नहीं है कि यह प्राचीनतम है। काल की दृष्टि से इसकी रचना बहुत बाद में हुई है। इस पुराण में साकार ब्रह्म की उपासना का विधान है। इसमें 'ब्रह्म' को सर्वोपरि माना ग या है। इसीलिए इस पुराण को प्रथम स्थान दिया गया है। कर्मकाण्ड के बढ़ जाने से जो विकृतियां तत्कालीन समाज में फैल गई थीं, उनका विस्तृत वर्णन भी इस पुराण में मिलता है। यह समस्त विश्व ब्रह्म की इच्छा का ही परिणाम है। इसीलिए उसकी पूजा सर्वप्रथम की जाती है। Bhushan Khairnar

नृसिंह सरस्वती जन्मोत्सव  नरसिंहसरस्वती (इ. स. १३७८-१४५८) - वऱ्हाडातील लाड कारंजे हे त्यांचे जन्मगाव. त्यांना दत्तात्रयाचे दुसरे अवतार आणि श्रीवल्लभांचे उत्तरावतार मानतात. गुरुचरित्रात त्यांचे चरित्र वर्णन केलेले आहे. त्यांचे मूळ नाव शालग्राम देव माधव काळे. परंतु त्यांना नरहरी नावानेच ओळखले जाई. वयाच्या सात वर्षांपर्यंत ते बोलत नसत. मांजीबंधनाच्या वेळी ते आई अंबाभवानीकडे वेदवाणीचा उच्चार करून भिक्षा मागितली. त्यानंतर ते बोलू लागले. वयाच्या आठव्या वषीर् माता-पित्यांचा आशीर्वाद  घेऊन ते बदिरीकेदारला गेले. वाटेत काशी मुक्कामी त्यांची गाठ कृष्णसरस्वती या वृद्ध संन्याशाशी पडली. कृष्णसरस्वतींनी नरहरीला मठपरंपरेप्रमाणे संन्यासदीक्षा दिली. उत्तरेत शिक्षण पूर्ण केल्यावर ते दक्षिणेस प्रथम कारंजे येथे आले. माता-पित्यांना भेटले. त्यानंतर ते त्र्यंबकेश्वर, नाशिक, परळी वैजनाथ, औदुंबर, अमरापूर या गावी राहिले. अमरापूर हे गांव कृष्णा-पंचगंगा संगमावर आहे. तेथे नरसिंह सरस्वती बारा वषेर् राहिले. त्यांच्या या गावच्या प्रदीर्घ निवासामुळेच या गावाला नरसोबाची वाडी हे नाव प्राप्त झाले. त्यानंतर गाणगापुरी
